Early signs of hearing loss
- Difficulty in communication
You need others to repeat what they said and always feel that others are speaking too softly.
It is more difficult to hear others in noisy environments, and you need to communicate at close range.

- Tinnitus (ringing in the ears)
You experience persistent or intermittent sounds in your ears, such as buzzing, ringing, or hissing, which may be an early sign of inner ear problems.

- Dizziness
Certain inner ear disorders may affect your sense of balance, causing vertigo or dizziness, which is also a potential signal of hearing loss.

High-risk groups for hearing loss
1.Individuals with a family history of deafness: Since deafness can be inherited within families especially in cases of hereditary deafness, people with a history of deafness in their family are at a relatively higher risk of developing deafness.

2.with a history of ear diseases: Individuals who have experienced otitis media, Meniere’s disease, and other ear disorders are at a significantly higher risk of hearing loss. These may damage the structures within the ear, leading to a decline in hearing.

3.People exposed to noise for long periods: Prolonged exposure to noise can cause damage to the ears, ultimately leading to deafness. People who work or live in high-noise environments for extended periods, such as factory workers or construction workers, are at higher risk of hearing loss.

4.Individuals with poor lifestyle habits: Unhealthy habits like smoking, drinking, and lack of sleep can negatively impact multiple body systems, the hearing system.

5.Populations with chronic diseases: Chronic diseases such as hypertension, high cholesterol, and diabetes can lead to poor circulation, which in turn the blood supply to the inner ear, potentially causing a decline in hearing.
How to prevent hearing loss
Avoid noisy environments
Avoid long-term exposure to high-noise environments such as KTV factory workshops; wear earplugs or earmuffs as protective equipment when noise exposure is inevitable.

Develop good habits
Regular routine: Ensure adequate sleep time avoid staying up late and excessive fatigue.
Balanced diet: Eat a balanced diet, avoid excessive sweet and salty food, and prevent atherosclerosis caused by ear ischemia
Quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption: Smoking and excessive alcohol consumption can damage the auditory cells and the central nervous system of hearing, and should quit smoking and limit alcohol as soon as possible.

Regular hearing checks
Regular hearing checks should be done, especially for people who are exposed to noise for a long time or suffer from diseases.

Use headphones reasonably
When using headphones, the volume should not exceed 60% of the maximum volume, and the continuous use time should not exceed 0 minutes.
Maintain a pleasant mood
Excessive mental stress for a long time is also one of the important inducements for hearing loss, and should learn regulate stress and relax.
We should regularly check our hearing health, pay more attention to hearing protection, and adhere to the concept of “early detection, early intervention, and recovery”. For irreversible hearing loss, we should also wear hearing aids in time according to our own situation.
Everyone should pay more attention to hearing health!!!
